The project “GIST Hub - Inclusive Governance and Innovation for Sustainability Transitions” was officially launched at the end of March 2025. Prof. Johannes Glückler presented the initiative at a kick-off event held by the Faculty of History, Geography, and Political Science at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC).
The project builds on a scientific partnership between Prof. Johannes Glückler and the UC that has lasted for over 15 years and has already resulted in numerous joint publications, innovative teaching formats, and the establishment of international degree programs. This long-standing cooperation forms the institutional and content-related foundation for the GIST Hub and its international orientation.
The GIST Hub has three central objectives:
- to establish a permanent and internationally visible partner network,
- to develop joint research projects on sustainable transformation,
- to set up a part-time continuing education diploma for decision-makers in Chile.
